There have been new changes in terms of how to power a car and some countries are already moving towards powering their cars using electricity, the likes of Tesla are leading the race in making this a reality.

A report has made it known that in less than 10 years from this time electric powered cars will dominate the roads and push out fuel powered vehicles to the history session.

Well, Nigerian Senator and businessman, Ben Murray Bruce is also thinking in a similar direction and he believes electric powered cars will phase out fuel powered cars soon.

Sen. Ben Murray Bruce in his statement made it known that Nigeria needs to be prepared for the future instead of being stuck in yesterday.

He added that Nigeria doesn’t have any power to stop the rest of the world from abandoning the fuel powered cars.

Sen Murray Bruce in a tweet via his Twitter handle wrote, “We don’t have any power as a nation to stop the world from abandoning the fuel powered car. Instead of being stuck in yesterday, it is fine for us to prepare for tomorrow. Whether we like it or not, electric cars are coming. Fuel cars are going the way of video cassette recorders”
The Nigerian Senator in an earlier tweet disclosed how he had promoted a bill titled ‘The Electric Cars (Introduction) Bill 2019 (SB726.)
According to his tweet, the main aim of the bill is to established an act that will phase out fuel powered cars in Nigeria by 2035 and in turn introduce electric powered cars.
