Sen. Shehu Sanni reacts to electoral reform applauds FG for revoking oil license from Shell

– Senator Shehu Sanni has reacted to the electoral reform bill

– He also applauded the Federal Government for revoking the oil license of Shell Petroleum Development Company

Nigerian Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Sen. Shehu Sannu has reacted to the electoral reform bill.

The Senator in his statement claimed that the previous Governments and the current Government in power don’t want any serious electoral reforms because they are benefiting form its failings.

He went on to disclosed that it is only former Pres. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan that can appoint an individual he has never met and never knew as chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and also approve of technology for use that can terminate his reign as president.

Shehu Sanni in his statement via his Twitter handle wrote, “The Previous Governments including the one in power doesn’t want any serious electoral reforms because they tend to benefit from its failings.Its only GEJ that can appoint an INEC chair he never met & never knew & approved of technology for use that can terminate his reign.”

In another statement, Sen. Shehu Sanni applauded the President, Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government for revoking the oil licence of the Shell Petroleum Development Company.

The Federal Government had gone ahead to return the oil licence to the NNPC.

Sen. Shenu Sanni in his statement said, “Revocation of the oil Licence of the Shell Petroleum Development Company by the President and it’s return to the NNPC is a courageous step in the right direction and commendable. Oil multinationals with a dark history and without concern for host communities should be ejected.”
Sen. Shehu Sanni lost his re-election bid during the 2019 Presidential And National Assembly Election.
