Sen. Shehu Sanni reacts to Gov. Nasir El-Rufai’s statement about foreign observers

– Gov. Nasir El-Rufai had said that international observers that interferes with the country’s electoral process will return to their countries in body bag

The Gov. of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai made a shocking statement on National TV ahead of the 2019 Presidential election yesterday.

Nasir El-Rufai in his statement declared that any international observer, who tries to interfere in the forthcoming election will return to their country in the body bag.

Sen. Shehu Sanni in his reaction to the statement disclosed that threatening foreigners with body bags is not nationalism or patriotism but facism.

The senator disclosed it is an act to rig in the forthcoming election.

He said in a statement via his twitter handle, “Threatening foreigners with Body Bags is not nationalism or patriotism,it’s fascism.They simply want to switch off the lights,close the windows and the doors and count our votes. They are watering the flowers of our democracy with kerosene.”

The Senator went on to say that anyone who thinks dead bag is an act of nationalism or patriotism should add it the coat of arms or logo of their political party.

He added ”Body Bag in English language and not Sanskrit means Body Bag, it’s not Backpack or Gucci Handbag or Louis Vuitton handbag. If you think Body Bag is a symbol of nationalism or patriotism,please add it to the coat of arms or your party logo.”

This recent statement from Sen. Shehu Sanni comes after the Peoples Democratic Party PDP had called on the international communities to place a travel ban on Gov. Nasir El-Rufai over his statement.

The PDP, in addition, threatened to pull out of the Peace Accord.
