“Soundcity Is The Worst Place I’ve Ever Worked In My Life” – OAP Awazi

Nigerian OAP and former staff at SoundCity FM, Awazi confirms that the radio station is owing its staff their salaries. She also disclosed it’s the worst place she’s ever worked.

The OAP revealed this after a Twitter user @Marycolette_ tweeted that SoundCity FM 98.5 and Urban FM 96.5 staffs are on silent strike because the organizations owe them their salaries.

In response, Awazi wrote:

“Lol this is not a joke Great platform aside, Soundcity is easily the worst place I’ve ever worked in my life and this is taking unpaid internships into consideration. The OAPs here are superheroes yet there constantly treated like shit.

“Burn the whole system to the fucking ground!”

“In the last 8 months so many people have asked me why I left soundcity and “threw away such a great opportunity.” LOL y’all don’t know the half of it.

“At the time I left I knew I was much better unemployed than working under the horrible conditions I was subjected to at soundcity.”

She added that nothing literary works in the radio station including their equipments as they always have technical issues. Awazi also mentioned sexual harassment issue within the organization and how the staff are bullied when they ask for their hard earned salaries.
