Stowaway Falls From Kenya Airways Flight, Found Dead in London Backyard

Yesterday, July 3rd, an unidentified stowaway fell out of the landing gear of a Kenya Airways flight on its way from Nairobi to Heathrow Airport, London. He was later discovered by police in the garden of a home in London.

An eyewitness who saw this happened said his body was frozen and he fell a metre away from a resident who had been sunbathing.

It was also reported that the stowaway fell just as the plane was descending and food, bag and water in the area he was found.

Kenya Airports gave a public statement on Twitter after the incident.

Jambo! We have been informed by authorities in London that on June 30th at approximately 1541hrs (UK Time) a body of a yet to be identified male stowaway was discovered in South London. The body was traced to the undercarriage of KQ flight 100 that departed from JKIA. 

“All relevant security organs at JKIA have been informed,a joint investigation team has been constituted & is investigating the incident.We wish to reiterate that Safety & Security is a priority at our airports & this incident is being treated with the seriousness it deserves.”
