The Curriculum – Falz Packs Moral Instruction Into One Video

Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz has released an 8-min video titled Curriculum, a movie to summarize all songs contained in the album, Moral Instruction.

The video contains several Nollywood emerging stars including Olumide Oworu (The Johnsons) taking snippets of songs from ‘Brother’s Keeper’ to ‘E Don Finish’.

The Curriculum is directed by Prodigeezy, a music video director with the real name, Iyoboza Geezy Rehoboth.

Lewi Ghariokwu, brain behind Moral Instruction, had this to say about the album:

“The music that Falz is putting out is very social-politically conscious music. The album cover entails materials from all the eight songs – there is a common thread running through the songs. It’s from our political situation and the over-religiosity of our society”.

Falz had this to say before the release of the album:

“There is a dire need for us to redefine the concept of humanity and morality, there is a pressing need for re-education and re-orientation of the people, for this is the only way we can restore sanity .”

Ghariokwu designed 26 illustrations for the album. The album contains nine songs and they are listed below:

  • Johnny
  • Follow Follow
  • Hypocrite (feat. Demmie Vee)
  • Talk
  • Amen
  • Brother’s Keeper (feat. SESS)
  • Paper (feat. Chillz)
  • E no finish
  • After all said and done

Recall that one of the songs, Talk, sparked several controversies online, most prominent of all being transactional sex.

People tagged Falz a mysognist for only shaming ‘runs girls’ but failing to discuss about the men who employ the services of these prostitutes.

Director of King of Boys movie, Kemi Adetiba in her reaction to the topic said she wouldn’t support anybody who engages in transactional sex and wouldn’t be bullied to see what is wrong as being right.

She however argued that the ‘transactor’ and transactee are both guilty of the same moral crime and should be called out for that.
