The Hate You Give – A Movie on Racism

The Hate you give is an American drama, based on a 2017 novel by Angie Thomas. Prior to its release in the United States, it was first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2018. Although it’s a 2018 movie, it can be mistaken for a 2019 movie because of its evergreen perspective.

The Storyline of The Hate You Give

This movie revolves around racism and the life of an African American. Also, it centers on Starr Carter, a 16year-old black American who witnesses the murder of her childhood best friend; Khalil. Furthermore, this movie tells a story on the injustice surrounding the black people when it involves criminal justice over a white counterpart.
