Thugs Storm INEC Office In Osun State, Burns Ballot Boxes

Thugs alleged to be politically inclined, have on Sunday, February 24th, storm the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oriade local government area, Osun state, and set all the ballot boxes on fire.

iDONSABI gathers that the Political thugs opened fire to in order to scare the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oriade local government area, Osun state officials away and the party agents before seizing ballot boxes, thumb-printed ballot papers and setting them on fire.

Recall that, in Nigeria yesterday, the Presidential election has been held all over the country in order for the citizens to elect a new President. However, the process was smooth in some places and also rough in some places as well.

During yesterday’s Presidential election, it was reported that ballot boxes were been burnt by APC thugs in Okota, Lagos State and also other states in Nigeria. In addition, it was also reported that an OPC leader was stoned while he tried to disrupt the smooth process of the Presidential elections yesterday.

Results are now been announced in several polling units across the country and it is just a matter of time that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will announce the result that will determine who would lead Nigeria for the next four years.

The issue of burning of ballot boxes started yesterday and it is even surprising the more that it has continued to Sunday, February 24th. It is now a matter of being safe as we know that the tensions are just about starting and may even become worse once the results are finally announced.
