Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West at the National Assembly has reacted to the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria CJN, Walter Onnoghen.
The Nigerian senator in a statement via his Twitter account titled ‘THE AUDACITY OF BAD LEADERSHIP IN NIGERIA’ urged the citizens of the country to stand up against ” evil audacity” from the government.
Sen. Dino Melaye went on to make reference to the military era in 1983, where he said ‘Buhari destroyed Democracy in Khaki.’

He wrote, “Man dies only once, Nigerians! we must all come out of our cocoons and stop this display of evil audacity.”
Melaye went on to say that the time is now for Nigerians to prove they are bigger than the people in government.
He said, “Government is not owned by those in Government but owned by the People. Nigerians must prove that the people are bigger than those in Government. The time to act is NOW!!”
President Muhammadu Buhari has been under criticism since the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria CJN, Walter Onnoghen on an order from the Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT on Friday.
The Nigeria Bar Association NBA, an umbrella for legal practitioners in the country have given the president 7 days to revert the suspension order.
Also, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has because of the suspension given to the CJN Walter Onnoghen suspended the party’s presidential campaign for 72 hours.
Nigerians have also had mixed reactions, while some supported the Federal Government, others have opposed the move.
