Tinubu says elder statesmen should avoid inflammatory statements

– The National Leader of the APC Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that elderly Nigerians should avoid inflammatory statements that could undermine peaceful co-existence

– He also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the recognition of June 12 as the new Democracy day

According to a statement released via the handle of the aide of Pres. Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu, he disclosed that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Toady in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, made an appeal to elderly Nigerians to avoid inflammatory statements that could undermine peaceful co-existence among the nation’s diverse communities.

The report made it known that Bola Ahmed Tinubu stated this after an Iftar dinner meeting with Pres. Buhari, along with Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and Emir of Kazaure, Dr. Najib Adamu.

Tinubu said all citizens should consider the enormity of challenges facing the nation and support the President, He urged Nigerians to rally round President Buhari to solve the problems and stabilize the polity.

The President worked hard and will continue to do so to ensure peace and stability in the country, which are important for the economy to make progress. These are the key pegs of his agenda. Let us all come together to support him,” he said.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu also called out the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, he said the opposition is reputed for “saucy and distractive statements.”

He said, “Don’t blame them. They are handicapped by the traumatic feelings of the colossal loss of the election. You should help them to manage the trauma.”

The APC National Leader in his statement also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the recognition of June 12th as the countries new Democracy Day as against the previous date May 29th.
