Etisalat Chairman Osagie Resigns

The chairman of Etisalat Telecommunications Mr. Hakeem Bello Osagie has resigned his appointment following the restructuring of the management of the company. The resignation which took effect immediately is the first step in the takeover of Etisalat by a consortium of Nigerian banks led by Access Bank.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has traced the sum of N603m to Mrs. Esther Habu, the wife of Mr. Josiah Habu who is the Director of Bioresources Development Centre in Bayelsa.
