Tottenham To Play First Game At New Stadium On April 3 Against Crystal Palace

North London Club, Tottenham have confirmed that they will play their first game in their new stadium in their home game against Crystal Palace on the 3rd of April.

The opponents for the Lilywhites at their new ground were dependent on the outcome of Brighton’s game with Millwall. The Seagulls progress in the FA Cup to the last four of the competition means that their match with Spurs will now be postponed to the 23rd or 24th of April.

Tottenham who have played their home games at Wembley all season were scheduled to move to their new ground dubbed the White Hart Lane as far back as September last season but construction was delayed on several occasions.

The new White Hart Lane is a 60,000-seat arena and will play host to the Eagles after which they would also lock horns with Manchester City on the first leg of the Champions League last-four.

Tottenham have announced that ticketing and event details for the match against the Eagles will be announced on Monday.

That said, the North London club need to obtain a safety certificate before they can host games. To do that, they have arranged matched between Tottenham and Southampton U18s on the 24th of March and another six days later – a legends match.

Spurs have doled out millions of pounds in construction fees for their new grounds. Consequently, the Lilywhites have failed to make any new player transfers since they last did two summers ago when Lucas Moura was brought from Parc des Princes.
