Tottenham Vs Borussia Dortmund UCL 13 February Preview

Tottenham will have a mountain to climb when they lock horns with Bundesliga leaders, Borussia Dortmund on home turf in North London in a UCL round of 16 tie. Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed a brilliant campaign so far but have failed to record any win in any of their last three matches.

Tottenham

The Lilywhites have proven themselves a tough nut to crack and a team deserving of round of 16 football having qualified from tough group that boasts the likes of Barcelona and Tottenham.

Even more interesting was that they were able to salvage a draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

That said, Mauricio Pochettino would be left without two attacking players who were instrumental to their form in the group stages – Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

Although, Tottenham have won their last four league games since the injury to Kane, it can be seen that the team has pretty much struggled scoring some of their match winners within the last 10 mins of the game.

They will be hopeful that Son Heung-Min is in form once again and hands them enough goals to secure a good home advantage

Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are five points atop Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and have been quite impressive on the local front despite losing out on the chance of winning the DFB Pokal when they lost to Werder Bremen.

They have suffered some recent setbacks however with a loss to Hoffenheim. Indeed, their last outing saw them concede three goals in the final 15 minutes, a time Tottenham have become used to scoring lately.

Lucien Favre’s side will be hopeful that they make no mistakes and get a win or probably an away goal which could prove vital for qualification into the next round.
