Tottenham Vs West Ham United EPL 27 April Preview

Tottenham have the chance to hold firmly to their third place position on the Premier league standings when they play host to fellow London rivals, West Ham United.

Tottenham

With their league campaign back on track and their top-four finish in their own hands ahead of games against West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton, Tottenham can now channel all their energy and focus towards their Champions league double-legged tie with Ajax.

The first leg of their first leg encounter with the Dutch giants come in three days after this game, a match where they would be missing the input of both Son Heung-Min (suspension) and Harry Kane (injury).

The Lilywhites have been incredible on their home new ground, winning all four matches on that blessed turf and conceding no goals in the process.

The number of days left to rest between games is beginning to take its toll on Pochettino’s men as could be seen in their 1-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion which was hardly inspiring.

One more push is required before the Champions league encounter but whether Spurs would be able to pull through against a brilliant West Ham side is what fans would be willing to feed their eyes with.

West Ham United

Despite being in a position to finish the season in seventh – only few weeks back – and possibly qualifying for the Europa league competition, West Ham have glided down to 11th position no thanks to collecting four points from the last 18 on offer.

Indeed, their only win in the past month came against basement club Huddersfield Town where they needed to score three goals in the final 15 minutes to scrape past West Ham.

They have now lost seven of their eight away games, drawing the other and do not look the likeliest to pick points off Tottenham.
