According to reports, the attacks started on Wednesday in Bolon in Demsa LGA where four people were reportedly killed and three others injured.
The second attack reportedly took place on Thursday in Bolki and Bujum Numan LGA, two border communities between Adamawa and Taraba States.
Eye-witnesses of the various attacks informed journalists that the attackers invaded their communities, shooting sporadically and burnt houses in the process.
The village head of Bolon, Robinson Filgona, lamented about the scores of people who were rendered homeless because their houses were burnt.
Explaining the event as it happened, he said, “When we heard gunshots, the youths came out with their bows and arrows to repel the attack.
“We had local weapons while our attackers had modern guns. When they started shooting, the whole village was thrown into confusion and panic.
“They continued shooting sporadically and then set our houses on fire. You have all seen the extent of the destruction. Our foodstuff got burnt which we cannot quantify because we had abundant food in every household.”
The Public Relations Officer of the Police command in Adamawa State confirmed that the events really took place but the police command has yet to gather details.
