The Executive Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari who was reportedly travelling to Danja when he saw the crash instructed that his pilot vehicle be used to convey the corpses of the individuals and their colleagues back to Katsina.
Aminu Masari was on his way to Danja to grace the burial rites of Alhaji Saleh Danja who had also died in a ghastly road accident on Saturday at Tsanni in Batagarawa local government area of the state.
Saleh also known with the real name, Late Alhaji Danja was one of Masari’s close associates.
A corps member who survived the accident reporting the incident to Governor Masari said that the crew were on their way to a mass wedding at a Catholic Church in Funtua.
He also revealed that the roads were slippery to the heavy downpour and that the accident happened when the driver tried to apply his brakes.
He suggested that the wet road contributed to the accident as the car swerved off the road to hit a tree.
