“Uwaila Omozuwa Wanted To Be A Minister And Preach The Word of God Before She Was Raped And Murdered” – Sister Reveals
Uwaila Omozuwa’s sister, Judith Omozuwa has revealed that her late sister had a passion to study theology as she had dreams to become a minister and preach the word of God.
Uwazila was raped and murdered on the 27th of May while reading in a church in Benin. The 100 level student was lying in a pool of blood at the church where she had been a member of the choir for many years.

In an interview with CNN, Judith Omozuwa revealed that her sister didn’t stop taking classes in theology even after she gained admission at University of Benin last year to study microbiology.
“She wanted to be a minister and preach the word of God. The church was her favorite place to be,” Judith, 24, said by phone. “That she was murdered where she always found peace is just devastating.”
Uwa goes to the Church on weekdays to study to avoid distractions from her siblings at home, her sister explained.
On the day she was attacked, Judith said she walked her to the gate of their home before she left for the church, not knowing that it would be the last time she’d see her sister alive.
“Uwa complained that we made a lot of noise at home watching TV and it was getting worse now that everyone is at home.
“That day she was wearing one of my clothes and I was teasing her. She said that is what sisters do.”
