To test the signal, try loading a webpage to see how fast it loads. If the connection seems okay, try using Wi-fi to see if the problem will go away. Verify MicroSD Card Space
If there’s no space on your MicroSD Card or on your device’s internal memory, there’s a likelihood that your WhatsApp won’t download media files. Most times, if there isn’t adequate space, your phone will inform you to free some space so the download can proceed. Delete unnecessary apps and data to free up space. Sometimes there might be sufficient space to download files, but due to the SD card function set to read-only, the download will be hampered.
To fix this, change the read-only mode to read & write mode to complete the download. After setting it, restart your device and check if the issue has been resolved. If the problem persists, there’s a probability that a part of the MicroSD Card might be damaged. Do a backup of your data and format the SD card. If the problem continues after you’ve tried all your options, consider replacing the microSD card with a new one as the former might be defective.
