The second term of Pres. Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is yet to commence, however, some individuals and groups are already thinking of 2023 Presidency.

There have been unconfirmed reports that the National Leaders of the All Progressive Congress APC and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the intentions to run for President in 2023, although the he is yet to confirm this.

However, the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum AYCF has called on Bola Ahmed Tinubu to banish the thought of running for the highest post in the country come 2023.

The Forum made it known that the North would not support the APC national leader or anyone from the South West for such exalted office.

According to the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum AYCF, it disclosed that the South West have enjoyed juicy government appointments in the past four years and has badly shortchanged the North.

The AYCF gave this position in a statement released to newsmen on Monday by its national president, Comrade Yerima Shettima, he said that under the current administration, “through the total dominance and manipulation of political and economic power, the South-West has badly shortchanged the North, making it’s people irrelevant in the running of government for more than four years.”

“There is no way after cornering all the juicy Federal Government appointments and skewing development projects in favour of the South- West anyone will dare approach the North with the issue of seeking for the presidency in 2023. That will be totally unacceptable,” he added.
