Yoruba Leaders Should Reveal MKO Abiola’s Killers – Al Mustapha

Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd), the Former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to General Sani Abachi, the late Head of State of Nigeria accused some Yoruba leaders of knowing who the killers of Chief MKO Abiola were. He said this on Tuesday, June 12th 2017 whilst the south-westen part of Nigeria were observing yet another anniversary of the June 12 1993 election that was annulled.

According to Al-Mustapha, the Yoruba leaders chose not to reveal who the killers were because they were bribed. However, Al-Mustapha who answered a series of questions posed by newsmen in Kaduna, yesterday just after leaving a gathering where he went to negotiate peace between the South-Eastern and the Northern parts of the country, did not reveal the names of those who allegedly gave the bribe.

Nonetheless, he stated that he had a video evidence of how the Yoruba leaders in question collected the bribe which was in dollars. He mentioned that he gave the video evidence to Justice Mojisola Dada who presides over a Lagos High Court. According to Al-Mustapha, the following day after the death of MKO Abiola, Ayo Opadokun, one of the Yoruba Leaders back then, stormed the villa angrily with his friends. Their plan was to fight the government. They were so enraged that they wanted to set the country ablaze.

One could easily tell that from their disposition. Despite entering the meeting furious, he was surprised that they came out yelling and laughing as though the tension in the country had ended. He recalled that on that particular day, the whole country was on the brink of collapsing. But seeing the Yoruba leaders cheerful and happy made him suspicious. He went further to say that his video evidence contained the exact time when the palms of the Yoruba leaders in question were greased with the money.
