Your Support to Buhari’s 2019 Election Is A Betrayal on Igbo, Anglican Communion Tells Obiano

Nnewi-Diocese laments the on the breakdown of the relationship between Petr Obi and Willie Obiano.

The Diocese says Buhari values cows more than a human being.

Nnewi-Diocese of Aguata Anglican Communion has said the open support given to President Muhammadu Buhari by Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano during the last general election was “a betrayal against the whole Igbo race.

While bemoaned the strained relationship between Obiano and his immediate predecessor, Peter Obi, the group alleged that this led to the former turning his back and working against the Igbo interest.

Describing the situation as a betrayal of the highest order, a betrayal of his own people and a wound so deeply inflicted on Ndigbo, the Diocese pointed that the alleged insult by the Governor on the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, John Nnia Nwodo was equally an insult on the entire Igbo race, telling him to tender and apology to Ndigbo.

In its Presidential Address/Bishop’s Charge presented to the 2nd Session of the 5th Synod of Diocese of Aguata, presented by Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor at St James Anglican Church Uga, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State. According to the Presidential Address/Bishop’s Charge, the group lamented that Obi forced down Obiano down their throat when he endorsed him as the gubernatorial candidate in his first term,

“We still remember how it was so orchestrated at the inauguration of his Excellency Willie Obiano, that all the problems of the state are now solved.

“That was the first time as they say in the history of the state where a Governor leaving office will be physically present at the inauguration of his successor. They were school mates in the Secondary School; they were colleagues in the business world and very well understand each other. So we believe it was all uhuru. How mistaken we all were.

Noting that when the relationship of the duo became strained, the Diocese noted that efforts we were told were made to reconcile and settle things for them, but it never happened.

Buhari Still An Illegal President-elect, Says Timi Frank

“We never knew it would degenerate to Mr. Willie Obiano turning his back to the whole Igbo race because of Sir Peter Obi to openly support and campaign for General Muhammadu Buhari.

The also lamented that they grouse they had with Obiano supporting Buhari was that the President values cows more than a human being.

“It is not lost on us that the grouse they had was the issue of supporting Mr. Buhari against the Igbo people. We do not know how our Governor decided to become the friend of the man who wants all of us dead, the man in whose eyes a cow is worth a high premium and value than a people, the man who has not hidden his hatred for the Igbo man alive or dead, born and unborn.”
