The development of SMS banking has brought more options to ways account holders can check their account balances. Customers of Access Bank and the likes are enjoying the service as many banks have adopted this form of banking that gives customers a lot of confidence by knowing their account status on the go.
SMS banking seems to have been the saviour of many people now who can’t afford to operate or afford android phones. Let’s talk about the former first. Some people don’t understand the technicalities involved in android phones and are busy trying to know what it takes. More or less, they are not mentally prepared to understand the few technicalities that come with the banking apps that can even be on their android device.
Reasons you might want to check your account balance
Knowing fully well that in this way, they are underutilizing the phone, but SMS banking has been a saviour to them in several ways. With hackers coming up with several ways of defrauding account users through the creation of pseudo links that could make them lose their account, many users of SMS banking have maintained the status quo, knowing fully well that the service can perform all the same functions with the bank applications on Android or IOS devices. Thus, it is preferred to underutilize their devices rather than fall victim.
To some others, they are not ready to go into the banking all, especially during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic where they could spend several hours in the banking hall before being attended to. As part of the security measures, Access Banks Android or IOS applications don’t work straight even when downloaded from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. There is a need for an Authentication code before adding other details like the username and the password. So, in getting the authentification code, a user who probably changed their phone or recently bought a new smartphone will need to go into the hall before the app can work on it. The user in this category is assumed to be interested in the application.
The user must have looked at the cost of SMS banking which comes at a cost, excluding transfer and other banking charges. Thus using the app requires data and network connection. Using the app allows the users to easily see other services on offer and then screenshot any transaction. This is then good for the Access Bank users not receiving alerts but email. Just login into their apps and checking the transaction history gives them the advantage of knowing what’s going on in their account per time.
Checking your Access Bank Account Balance

For an Acceee Bank application user, the result is instant once you know your user id and password. Once you log in, the balance will be hugely displayed. This is done for free.
