Appointment Or Sack of Security Chiefs Is A Presidential Prerogative, Presidency Replies Senate
The Presidency has replied to the Senate over the call for the resignation of the service chiefs over killing and resignation of 200 military personnel in the frontline of the fight against Boko Haram insurgency.
The Red chamber had during today’s plenary made the resolutions, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the security chiefs and replace them with new ones.

Reacting to the resolution, the Presidency said President Buhari will do the best for Nigeria at all times.
“President Buhari notes the resolution of the Senate asking Service Chiefs to resign or be sacked. The Presidency reiterates that appointment or sack of Service Chiefs is a Presidential prerogative, and the Commander-in-Chief will do the best for the country at all times,” part of the statement reads from Femi Adesina, a media aide of the president.]
