Adesua Etomi- Wellington is a renowned Nigerian actress, television personality, social media personality and a model. She made her debut in her first feature movie, Knocking on Heaven’s Door in 2014, and since then she’s been a formidable force to reckon with.

Early life and background of Adesua Etomi

Tolulope Adesua Etomi was born on February 22, 1986 in Owerri, Imo State, as the youngest of three siblings. Her father is a soldier of Esan descent and her mother is an engineer of Yoruba descent. For her elementary education, she attended Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos, where she joined the drama club at the age of seven. Subsequently, she attended Queen’s College, Lagos before proceeding to the United Kingdom at 13 for physical theatre, musical theatre and performing arts studies in City college Coventry. With triple distinctions to her credit, she graduated with First class honors in drama and performance from the University of Wolverhampton.

Her Acting Career

The versatile actress who can switch in between roles have played few minor roles until her big break came in 2014 with a major role in the Emem Isong produced romantic drama, Knocking On Heaven’s Door. In 2004, she featured in some theatrical works like The Crucible (2004) in City College Coventry. Subsequently, she starred in The Grim tales (2009), Saro (2013) and many others. Adesua recently starred in ‘The Set Up’ alongside Dakore Akande, Kehinde Bankole and Jim Iyke. She has also featured in Muna, Sugar rush amongst others. The leading actress is regarded as the rom-com queen of Nigeria. In April 2019, Vogue’s magazine featured her as one of the 14 global star.

The delectable actress is married to Banky W. They got married in November 2017 at different ceremonies, location and dates –  Traditional and Court Wedding in Nigeria on Nov. 19 and 20 respectively; and then went to Cape Town, South Africa to celebrate the White Wedding on Nov. 27, 2017. Banky W (Olubankole Wellington) is a music artist, actor and label producer.

He is the founder of Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) record label which is listed among Top 15 Music Labels in Nigeria.
The celebrity couple have remained the center of attention in Nigeria.
