Bishop Frowns At Funke Akindele And Siblings For Allegedly Shunning Their Dad’s Burial
Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele recently lost her dad, Revd. Godwin Olusoji Akindele, aged 73 on the 7th Of December 2019.
However, the Bishop Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Ikorodu, Rt. Rev Samson Osundina, on Friday, January 17, 2020, expressed his disappointment in her and her siblings over their absence at their father’s funeral.
It was said that Funke Akindele and her 3 siblings were not present at his Service of Songs and burial at Ibeshe, Ikorodu, Lagos.
While delivering the burial sermon, Rev. Osundina thanked the children for taking care of their father while he was alive but stressed the fact that paying him the last respect as children was very important.
He also suspended the outing and thanksgiving service which are final programes in Christian’s burial, till the deceased’s children are available to attend.
