Buhari Promises Consolidation in 2023

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday says the next four years of his administration will be a harvest and consolidation of successes in the three-point agenda which is fixing the economy, fighting insecurity and corruption.

President Buhari, who stated this on Tuesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, UAE at a town hall meeting with members of the Nigerian Community in the UAE, pledged more government investments in research and development, as well as technology and educational institutions.

Buhari Condemns fresh killings in Rivers and Kaduna

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the resurgence of killings in Rivers and Kaduna States and ordered for increased community and law enforcement action against its escalation.

The President has ordered law enforcement agencies to intensify their efforts to end the menace before it further escalates.

He also called for quick and effective intervention by a community and civic leaders in support of law enforcement efforts, in all such areas bedevilled by cultist attacks and inter-communal violence.

Seven Persons Killed In Ondo Bank Robbery Attack

Seven people were killed in an eleven-man gang armed robbery attacked a branch of First Bank in Idoani, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.

It was gathered that the robbers who attacked the Bank shot and killed seven people in the process, including bank officials, a Police Inspector around the area and also two customers using the Automated Teller Machine (ATM).

Udughan Urges Buhari to Fasttrack Signing Electoral Amendment Bill Into Law

The erstwhile governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Electoral Bill into law to improve the nation’s electoral process.

While noting that this address the anomalies witnessed during the just concluded general elections, Uduaghan also called for a gradual release of funds to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should begin with the 2020 appropriation bill.

He also called for prompt punishment of electoral offenders to serve as a deterrent to others.

20 Killed in Fresh Suspected Bandit Attack in Kaduna

About twenty people were killed by suspected Fulani Herdsmen in Ungwan Aku Village, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to reports, those who attacked the community appeared in military uniform around 7pm on Monday wielding machetes and AK-47, and shot sporadically.

Several people have been reported injured, suffering various degrees of injuries from gunshots.

The CEO of Ebony Life TV, Mo Abudu has clinched the French Médailles d’Honneur Award for 2019.

The filmmaker was given the award in Cannes at MIPTV on Monday.

The media mogul took to her Instagram page to celebrate her latest award.
