Fayemi Cancels Employments Made By Fayose Since July 2018

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has nullified all employments made by the administration of former Governor Ayodele Fayose from July 2018.

Fayemi who condemned the ‘last minute’ employment made by the past administration apointed that the employments lacked due process and were hurriedly done after he won the governorship election in the state last year.

Sacked Workers: Fayemi’s Action “Height of Wickedness And Political Vendetta” – Fayose

Immediate former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayose, has described the revocation of the appointment of 2,000 workers employed by him shortly before leaving office, as “height of wickedness and political vendetta.”

Fayose who described the action of Fayemi’s administration as most unfortunate told thw affected civil servants not to be disillusioned and approach the court to challenge the State Government’s decision.

INEC Moves Kogi, Bayelsa Governorship Elections to November 16

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States to November 16.

The commission said the decision was taken after several pleadings from Bayelsa Government, state assembly, elders, religious leaders, traditional rulers and other critical stakeholders in the state that the poll coincides with the state’s annual Thanksgiving Day which is backed by the Bayelsa State Government Day Law 2012.
