Buhari’s Achievement in His First Tenure A Fulfilment of Social Contract – Onu

The Minister of Science and Technology,  Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, has said the achievements recorded in President Muhammadu Buhari’s first tenure were a fulfilment of a social contract with Nigerians.

The Minister who noted that the government had done so much in repositioning the economy through the diversification policy said that agricultural sector development, fight against insurgency, anti-graft war and infrastructure development received boost in the first tenure.

Adeleke Arrested Over Criminal Investigations, to Be Arraigned Tomorrow

Senator Ademola Adeleke has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force after honouring the police invitation today.

As it stands, the Osun State Senator will not able to travel tomorrow because the latest report revealed that he would be arraigned on Tuesday over ongoing criminal investigations related to him which was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba.

Femi Falana decries the high rate of killings says it is a sign of anarchy

Legal Practitioner, Femi Falana has decried the high rate of killings in the country since the end of the 2019 General election.

While describing the situation of killings in various part of the country as a sign of anarchy, the legal practitioner said what the country is currently witnessing in terms of increasing violence, banditry and insurgency is a sign of anarchy.

RRS Apprehend Conductor and Boutique Owner For Selling Hard Drugs

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has nabbed two suspects for allegedly peddling hard drugs in the Alausa area of Lagos state.

The 2 suspects identified as Olukoya Ayodele and Victor Godwin, were nabbed following a tipoff in the state after RRS posed as potential buyers of the illicit drugs.

Gunmen Abduct Taraba State Permanent Secretary

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the Permanent Secretary in the Taraba State Ministry of Water Resources identified as Susana Jonathan.

Jonathan was abducted in her house around the ATC area of Jalingo at about 2:17 am yesterday, May 5th. This is happening barely five days after the Deputy Registrar of the Taraba State University Jalingo,  Sanusi Sa’ad, was kidnapped in his house in the university’s quarters, a few meters away from the house of the abducted Permanent Secretary.

Ramadan – Kano Sharia Police to Arrest Muslim Adults Seen Eating In Public

The Commander-General of Kano sharia police, Hisbah, Nabahani Usman has stated that his men will begin to arrest adults who are seen eating in public.

Usman made it clear that the arrested persons would only be released if they can provide an exemption letter from a medical doctor or the person can show proof of chronic ulcer.
