Bride-to-be cries out after election was postponed to her wedding date

A Nigerian lady identified as Rita Osawende whose wedding to her heart throb was set to hold on the 23rd of February has been left in confusion as INEC postpones elections to February 23 2019.

Osawembe during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday (February 16 2019) in Benin revealed that she had earlier adjusted the date of her wedding from February 16 to February 23 on account of the elections.

However, to the bride-to-be utmost dismay, INEC postponed elections from the fixed February 16 to February 23 which coincides with her new wedding date.

Earlier today (February 16 20119), the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) postponed the dates of scheduled 2019 elections from February 16 to February23 and from March 2 to March 9 for the Presidential/National Assembly and the Governorship/House Assembly/FCT Area Councils elections respectively.

According to the confused Osawende, all arrangements has been made for her wedding on February 23.

She said:

INEC please help me revisit this issue.

The original date was fixed for February 16, but as soon as I knew it’s elections day, it was postponed to February 23rd.

What do I do; all arrangements have been made.

I have printed and distributed my invitation cards for the wedding. I am so confused,” she said.
