Burna Boy’s Mom Gives Beautiful Speech As He Wins a BET Award
Nigerian singer, Burna Boy joined 2Face, Wizkid, Davido and Tiwa Savage as a BET winner as he took home the Best International Act award home yesterday.
On behalf of Burna Boy, his mom and manager, Bose Ogulu received the award.
On accepting it, the beautiful woman said a short, powerful speech that made the audience roar.
“Thank you very much BET, thank you, Africa,” she said, “that is the constituency for which we got noticed. The message from Burna would be that every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.”
Burna Boy was nominated on this category with other singers including Nigerian act, Mr Eazi, AKA (SA), Aya Nakamura (France), Giggs(UK), Dosseh(France) and Dave (UK).
Some winners at the BET include, Cardi B for Best Rap Album, Childish Gambino for Best Music Video, Blackkklansman for Best Movie, Nipsey Hussle for Best Male Rapper amongst others.
