Ex Governor Chime’s Wife Seeks For Child Custody After Husband Filed For Divorce

— Ex Gov of Enugu Chime’s Wife has asked for the custody of her son in court.

— After the Governor filed for divorce, the estranged wife demands the custody of her child.

Clara Chime, Wife to former Enugu State Governor appealed to the court to get tje custody of her son. She further prayed a sum of N500,000 monthly as child support.

The woman argued that her son is not being taken care of properly and she can only see him under heavy security.

Clara who has been said to be suffering a form of mental illness said she was depressed in her marriage because the husband had marital affair with her only once through the course of marriage.

However, she said she saw a doctor her husband had brought home for her.

In 2013, Clara Chime claimed her husband placed her on house arrest because og her presumed mental health disease. Imprisoning her in his house.

“He made me stop work and the mental torture started after our marriage. Once he married me, he changed and the mental torture started gradually until it came with force. My situation was a case of domestic violence. It was horrible and terrifying”, she said.

However the former Governor said then that  he “wanted the best for her and that’s why I pleaded with the doctors to have her treated at home. That’s also why I allowed her access to her telephone and laptop which unfortunately led to the stage where I’m now being falsely accused of imprisoning or detaining my own wife.”

After her release from her husbands house, the wife went estranged and now she’s back for her son.

This matter of child custody has been adjourned to June 10.
