Gov. Fayemi to Inaugurate Ekiti 6th Assembly on Thursday June 6

– The Ekiti State Gov., Dr. John Kayode Fayemi will on Thursday inaugurate the 6th Assembly on Thursday, 6th of June

According to the latest report, the Ekiti State Government, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi will on Thursday, 6th of June inaugurate the 6th House  of Assembly in the state.

This comes as the fifth Assembly comes to a close.

The report was also confirmed by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Tola Esan, who disclosed that Governor Kayode Fayemi has released a proclamation to the effect.

Going by the event schedule, the inauguration will take place in the main chamber of the Assembly at exactly 10 a.m.

Mr. Tolu Esan in his statement urged members of the State Executive Council, religious and traditional rulers and the general public to be part of the occasion.

According to the election results, the All Progressives Congress (APC) won all the 26 seats in the State House of Assembly, which is a plus for the State Governor, who is also from the APC.
In another report, Gov. Kayode Fayemi was elected as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum NGF some weeks back.
And going by the records, he is the first Governor in the history of Nigeria from the South West to be the Chairman over the Forum.
However, the reports disclosed that he won the election unopposed owing to the fact that he was the only Governor qualified to run for the post which was zoned to the South.
This is because he is the only Governor in the South that is in his second term.
Furthermore, the Ekiti State Governor has the experience having served as a former Governor in Ekiti and also as a Minister under Pres. Muhammadu Buhari.
