‘I Didn’t Ask NBC To Suspend BBNaija’ – Lai Mohammed
The minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, has debunk the allegations that he gave a directive to suspend the Big Brother Naija show.
There have rumours circulating social media about the minister demands for the reality TV show to be banned in Nigeria.
A statement made by Lai Mohammed’s media aide, Segun Adeyemi explained that he never gave the order and the information was purported.
Adeyemi said: “That statement is not credited to the minister. We will not dignify speculative reports; if a minister issues a directive, it will not be issued verbally.
“There’s going to be a memo to that effect that he will send; anybody that is sure that the minister made that statement should provide a memo.”
