Jussie Smollett apologizes to Empire cast, says he didn’t lie

Jussie Smollett who acted as Jamal Lyon on the Empire TV show has apologized to the Empire cast following his release on bail.

iDONSABI.com earlier reported that the embattled Empire star, Jussie Smollett was arrested by Chicago PD on a felony charge for filing an alleged false police report.

Jussie Smollet was released on bail  yesterday (February 21 2019) for a  $100k. The police maintains that they uncovered evidence that suggests the Empire star had lied about his January 29 attack.

Chciago Police Department claims Jussie staged his own attack so he can get a pay rise.

After he was released on bail, the actor tried to avoid the mob of reporters and people who waited for him outside the court room.

His  colleagues from Empire set also waited for him outside the courtroom.  When he emerged from the court room, he immediately apologized to his colleagues and said he didn’t do what he was being accused of.

In his words:

I’m sorry I’ve put you all through this and not answered any calls. I wanted to say I’m sorry and, you know me, I would never do this to any of you, you are my family. I swear to God, I did not do this.
