Kanye West Reportedly Drops Out of US Presidential Race
According to multiple reports, Kanye West has reportedly withdrawn from the US presidential race, less than two weeks after announcing his intention to run.
This information was confirmed by a member of the rapper’s campaign team, Steve Kramer, who reportedly told New York Magazine’s Intelligencer off-shot that the rapper will no longer contest the election.
“He’s out,” Kramer told Intelligencer. He did not state West’s reasons for allegedly withdrawing. He however said to reporter Ben Jacobs: “I’ll let you know what I know once I get all our stuff cancelled.”
Kanye West, 43 announced he is running for US president on July 4.
“We must now realise the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he tweeted at the time. “I am running for president of the United States! #2020 VISION.”
