Latest COVID-19 Nigeria Update
Nigeria has recorded its highest daily record of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 after the Nigeria Centre for Disease (NCDC) announced an additional 790 new cases of the dreaded virus in the last 24 hours.
From the data released by the government agency, Delta has 166 new cases with Lagos, the epicenter behind with 120 new cases. Others are Enugu-66, FCT-65, Edo-60, Ogun-43, Kano-41, Kaduna-39, Ondo-33, Rivers-32, Bayelsa-29, Katsina-21, Imo-20, Kwara-18, Oyo-11, Abia-10, Benue-6, Gombe-4, Yobe-2, Bauchi-2, and Kebbi-2.
From a total of 26,484 confirmed cases recorded so far, 10,152 discharged patients have been discharged after recovery, while 603 deaths have been recorded so far fro COVID-19 complications.

Kaduna discharge 20 COVID-19 patients, Edo discharges 21
The Kaduna state government has announced the discharge of 20 COVID-19 patients after their recovery.
According to the governor, Nasir el-Rufa’i, via his Twitter page, 39 samples returned positive out of 344 analyzed.bringing the number of confirmed cases in the state to 805. The governor further revealed that the new cases are from 14 from Kaduna North, three from Kaduna South, 15 from Sabon-Gari, and 7 from Zaria.

Meanwhile, his Edo counterpart, Godwin Obaseki announced the discharged 21 more persons from the state’s isolation centers, taking the number of discharged patients to 288.
However, the number of deaths has risen to 39. While describing the rise in new cases as alarming, Obaseki urged all to be cautious as the state also crossed the 1000 threshold.
