Lukaku Can Easily Outscore Ronaldo – Former Inter Attacker
Former Inter attacker, Andy Van Der Meyde has backed Romelu Lukaku to outscore Juventus talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Lukaku has made a good start to the season since he made his with from Manchester United, already scoring two goals in his first two league games.
The Belgian who only netted 12 times in the Premier League last term has been tipped to perform well in the Italian Serie A and even outscore Ronaldo.
“Lukaku is a fan of Italian football and I think he’s made for this competition,” van der Meyde said to Juvenews.eu.
“He is strong and can score many goals. He has a very powerful physical structure and this will put all Italian defences in crisis.
“Lukaku can easily beat Ronaldo. He has always shown that he knows how to score wherever he has played, he is a pure centre-forward, while Cristiano plays most of the time out wide.”
Ronaldo has shown no signs of slowing down and has added to his goal haul, pouring four on Lithuania.
He might well be on his way to becoming the highest goalscorer of all time on the International stage.

With both the duo of Lukaku and Ronaldo hunting for a bunch of goals, the Serie A looks like a tighter race this campaign with Inter Milan already sitting on top of the pile on goal difference.
After a strong summer statement with Sanchez and Lukaku coming in under the tutelage of Antonio Conte, Van der Meyde feels Inter is going to prove themselves worthy of the Scuddetto title.
He however insists that the Biaconeris will once again prove themselves strong.
“I think Conte is a good coach for Inter, which will bring stability and this is what Inter needs right now,” the Dutch said.
“They chose the ideal coach to start over and get back to the top.
“I think the title will go to Juve. They are always the best there is in Italy, the one that has more quality and more players than everyone. I believe that in the end they will win again.”
