Manchester United Vs Manchester City EPL 24 April Preview

Manchester United, top-four hopefuls host title chasing and defending champions Manchester City at Old Trafford on Wednesday night in what could potentially be the biggest and most entertaining game of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign.

Manchester United

This could be a defining encounter for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men as the fixture could spark just the reaction that Manchester United need at the back of their heaviest defeat since October 2016 which came against Everton at the Goodison Park.

Indeed, questions have begun to be asked on whether handing the reins to the Norwegian gaffer on a permanent basis was the right decision for the club to make.
The Red devils have experienced a scary dip-in-form that has seen them endure six defeats from eight games.

That said, United have not lost a game at home since August despite losing five away games in a row.

United faithfuls recognize that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the one who brought the club into top four contention in the first place and the United legend will be willing to repay that faith with a win in front of the home crowd.

Manchester City

The Citizens may no longer be holding talks on winning a quadruple this season having lost their Champions League semis slot to Tottenham but they are very much in the driving seat for the Premier League crown.

It has been a nearly faultless league title race for the Citizens such that their closest contender, Liverpool may still lose out on the crown with 97 points if Manchester City go all the way to win all their remaining matches.

They know that anything short of a win could easily see them lose the title to Liverpool and they will be willing to see nothing of such happen.
