Mother In Lagos State Allegedly Kills Her Child And Commits Suicide

A school teacher known to be around her 20’s and a mother of one allegedly killed her three-year-old son before also allegedly committing suicide in the Ayobo area of Lagos state yesterday, March 30th.

According to reliable sources, the woman whose identity is yet to be identified as at the time of filing this report, lived a comfortable life with her son at their home situated at No 1, Adeniran Street, off Ferguson Osagie Road in Ayobo.

Further reports also have it that her husband is said to be abroad based.

In addition, residents who lived around her area made it clear that she was financially comfortable and had no known trouble that may have led her to kill her son and then take her own life also.

Police officers from the Ayobo Police Station in Lagos state, who were invited after the incident was revealed, made it also clear that they are not ruling out possible double homicide as the deceased and her son were foaming from the mouth when they were found dead inside their home.

Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased mother and child have not been moved as at the time of filing this report because it is the native tradition in Ayobo area is that when sudden and unexplained deaths occur, the Oro cult in the area is always consulted to find out the cause of death and to ward off evil spirits that may have been unleashed of the sudden mysterious death.

Other reports from reliable sources have it that the two corpses of the mother and Child are presently lying in the house awaiting the Oro rituals before they are moved to the mortuary.
