– Nigerian singer and performer, Seun Kuti is set to perform at the 61st Grammy Awards to be held on the 10th of February at the Staples Centre Los Angeles, US.
– This is following his nomination for the Best World Music Album category in October 2018.
The Afrobeat artiste will be performing alongside Malian songwriter/singer, Fatoumata Diawara at the award’s Premiere ceremony.
There is no gainsaying that the Nigerian Entertainment has gone ahead of its African counterparts and even gone on to take a princely seat in World Entertainment as it were.
Nigerian artistes talented as always have also improved in their marketing and brand sales – some part of music they previously failed at – with lots of these artistes cashing on the advent of social media and its rebounding effects.
Recall that iDONSABI in separate reports reported that Davido sold out the O2 and that Wizkid was to perform in far-away Amsterdam.

This time a Nigerian performer in Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti would be performing at the most celebrated awards to find on a singer’s CV – The Grammys.
Apart from performing at an awards ceremony previously graced by such personalities as Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar, Seun Kuti has also been nominated for the Best World Music Album category with his Black Times album placing him on that gracious listing.
This announcement was made via Grammys’ official website earlier in the week. Seun Kuti’s Black Times album debuted at No.8 on the Billboard World Music Chart within only its first week of release.
It was also announced that the awards ceremony would be streamed on the website from 12:30 pm Pacific Time
The 61st Grammys’ will also feature performances from Snatam Kaur, Craig Morris and the dance do of Sofi Tukker.
