Tottenham Vs Huddersfield Town EPL 13 April Match Preview

Tottenham will be looking to make it three wins in a row on their homeground when they take on basement club and already relegated Premier League side, Huddersfield Town.

The Lily-white first beat Crystal Palace in their £850m ground before claiming a 1-0 advantage over Manchester City in their first leg of their Champions League tie.

Tottenham

The move to their new stadium must have happened just at the right time for the North London club who had recorded only one win in six games before the matches against Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
Putting things in perspective, they indeed picked up just one point from available 15 on offer between 15th of February and 31 March.

They are currently in fourth place – two points behind Chelsea – though with a game in hand, one point over North London rivals, Arsenal, two points above Manchester United and a win here could shove them back into third place on the log.

Though the club are still in contention for the Champions League showpiece, Spurs President, Daniel Levy knows that a top-four finish is the most secure and realistic route for the North London club to play Champions League football on their new turf come next season and lowly Huddersfield won’t stand in the way.

They will be relishing the prospect of playing the basement club at this crucial stage of the Premier League campaign.

Huddersfield Town

The Terriers have claimed only three wins out of 33 played and have been declared relegated in near record time towards the end of March.

They have lost 19 of their last 21 matches, nine of their last 10 away games and there’s no stopping their ship from sinking very deep.

There’s almost nothing for Huddersfield to fight for. Nonetheless, they recorded a last gasp win against Wolverhampton Wanderers six weeks ago and one can’t fathom the tricks they have up their sleeves if in fact there are indeed any.

That said, it’s highly unlikely that the team goes for a win as they have been the greatest underdogs going into any fixture this season.
