Abducted Chief Press Secretary To The Governor of Taraba State Released

Hassan Mijinyawa identified as the Chief Press Secretary to governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has regained his freedom after previously being kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the state.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Taraba state, Hassan Mijinyawa was kidnapped four days ago around the axis of Bali-Gembu road at a location surrounded by thick forest and mountains.

It was not clearly stated if the foreigner, who was kidnapped together with the Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Taraba state, was released as well. According to sources, it was only gathered that only Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state was released by the kidnappers.

Close sources gathered that the release of Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Taraba state, came after negotiations were concluded between his family and those set of people who abducted him.

One source who is close to the family of Mijinyawa, stated that a ransom was paid to the kidnappers for his release but the source which stated it failed to reveal the amount of money which the family of Mijinyawa paid as ransom to the abductors.

According to close sources, it was also gathered that the release of Hassan Mijinyawa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Taraba state happened on Saturday evening at about 6 pm, January 2nd.

The senior assistant on Media and publicity to Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state identified as Mr Bala Dan Abu told newsmen in a telephone interview that he was aware that the family of Mijinyawa had gone to bring him back to his family.

The family of Mijinyawa are presently overjoyed with the latest news which has seen the release of the current Chief Press Secretary in Taraba state.
