FG Working Towards Making Nigeria To Be Among Top 100 Countries — Osinbajo

Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo says the federal government is working around the clock to ensure that by 2020, Nigeria is ranked among the top 100 countries on World Business Index.

Speaking at the second Presidential Enabling Business Environment Committee (PEBEC) Awards ceremony at the State House Banquet Hall, Osinbajo assured that the federal government will sustain the implementation of PEBEC reforms in all ramifications.

Drug Trafficking: FG summons Saudi Arabia Ambassador Over Execution of A Nigerian

The Federal Government has summoned Adnan Bostaji, the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Nigeria, over the execution of a Nigerian woman in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mustapha Suleiman, henceforth, the government will ensure that whenever a Nigerian citizen is arrested or on trial, the Nigerian Mission in Saudi Arabia will be informed and follow up on the case.

NSCIA to CAN: Metamorphose Into A Political Party To Demand For Posts in Nigeria’s Political Affairs

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has countered the demand for a religious balance in the nomination of the leaders of the 9th National Assembly by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

NSCIA In a statement released and signed by Salisu Shehu, the Deputy Secretary-General of the group, also accused the CAN leadership of preaching hatred against Muslims, as well as disparity against Muslims in the past appointments.

The group, therefore, challenged the sincerity of CAN and suggested that based on its recent interventions in the nation’s political affairs, CAN to metamorphose into a political party based on this interference.

The slayer of dictators and their puppets | Ben Bruce reacts to Wike’s victory

The lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray-Bruce has reacted to the recent victory of Rivers state Governor, Nyesome Wike at the polls.

Following his win at the polls, the media mogul took to his Twitter page to call him a “slayer of dictators and their puppets”.

Although, Murray-Bruce, who did not speak in very clear terms who the dictators and the puppets were, it is suspected he was referring to members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Mr Ibu is battling with stroke

Famous Nigerian comic actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu is currently down with a stroke.

It was gathered that Mr Ibu had been bed-ridden by the mysterious stroke after he returned from a trip from Owerri, Imo state capital.

According to a source close to the comic actor’s family, he is currently receiving help from a trado-medicine practitioner and is responding very well to treatment.

The report was also confirmed by President of the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas.

Monturayo Anikulapo Kuti, a daughter of famous afrobeat icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti has reacted to a claim of a man identified as Efe Kpokpogri who said Davido is a better singer than her father.

In response to Kpokpogri’s comment, Motunrayo, who replied via her Instagram page appears to have a personal relationship with the man in question, judging from her tone.

This statement clearly did not sit well with Motunrayo as she made told Kpokpogri to unfollow her has she had done long time ago.
