Cardiff City Vs Liverpool EPL 21 April Preview

Liverpool continue their quest for a first Premier League title since 1990 when they travel to South Wales to take on Cardiff City who at the moment are fighting for Premier League safety.

Cardiff City

The Blue birds gaffer, Neil Warnock has suggested that he is hoping to avoid a battering by Liverpool but it is necessary to point out that the manager will be secretly wishing that some sort of magic springs up in their favour.

Cardiff are looking to avoid relegation and would be a tough nut to crack especially in front of their home support. They would however be gutted by the fact that they would have to face Liverpool and Manchester United before the season runs out.

They have infact only ripped off only two points out of possible 66 against the ‘Big Six’ and look the unlikeliest to cause an upset against Liverpool who are looking to win the Premier League come season’s end.

Liverpool

Liverpool will be delighted with their semifinal Champions League qualification but it is the Premier League title that they so much desire.

The Reds do not have any glamorous fixtures before their last-eight encounter with Barcelona with one of those matches coming against basement club, Huddersfield Town.

That said, they are fully aware that any slip-ups at this time of the season could be fatal to any title hopes.

Liverpool have won each of their last nine games against newly promoted teams and have picked up 49 of possible 51 against bottom teams.

Klopp and his men would take this game with so much importance as they would with any other.
