D’banj Sues Seyitan Babatayo For N1.5 Billion
Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo popularly known by his stage name, D’banj, through his Lawyer, Mike Ozekhome SAN, has sued his accuser, Seyitan Babatayo, for N1.5 billion.
Meanwhile, this is coming after Seyitan had demanded an apology from D’banj through her lawyer after she accused him of raping her in her hotel room in 2018.
The singer had denied the allegations, demanding N100m compensation from her.
In a recent update, D’banj through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome (SAN) has ordered Seyitan to pay the sum of N1 billion for damages over the “untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological trauma which her tweets and publications have caused Dbanj”.
And another N500,000 for “representing aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages”.
Seyitan is also expected to make an appearance in court within 30 days.
