OAP Osi Suave Praises FG Over “Cheap Cost Of Studying Medicine in Nigeria”
Osi Suave commends Federal Government for the cheap fees of medical schools in Nigeria.
The OAP wrote that it amazes him how the FG is able to maintain quality standard of medical school at cheap fees compared to countries like US and UK.
He tweeted;
“When I look at how much it costs to study Medicine in Countries like the UK and the US.
“It amazes me how the FG is able to maintain the standard in our medical schools with cheap fees.
“And these medical degrees can stand the test of time any where in the world.”

Meanwhile, not everyone agrees with him. Some Twitter users in the comment section objected his definition of “standard”.

This really shows you didnt study anything Science related in school. Most of the practicals involved in the study of any science course in Nigeria are skipped and you were meant to imagine it while in the UK and US you are meant experience them. There is no standard here

Lol. This "standard" limits the development of the average medical student in Nigeria.
It is not necessarily the system that makes the student, it's personal zeal.
If this same medical student applies same zeal and determination elsewhere in developed nations, you'd be shocked!— C. Uche (@uche_cmd) June 23, 2020
The only challenge is that the same FG seems to be dumb when it comes to keeping their doctors. It surprises my imagination!

I think it’s more of the good brains we have in Nigeria than the facilities, now that the best of the best are leaving, I wonder who will train the news ones.
