Sassuolo Vs Juventus Serie A 10 February Review

A Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Juventus thumped Sassuolo to a 3-0 win with the Portuguese getting his 18th goal of the season. This win has opened up an eleven-point lead over second-placed Napoli.

Samir Khedira opened the scoring only 23 minutes into the game as he tapped into an empty net. Ronaldo then got the second goal of the night claiming the goal via an header after receiving a cross from Miralem Pjanic.

This however was the clearest chance on goal before Sami Khedira netted the opener. Just before halftime, Sassuolo had another chance at goal through Domenica Beradi’s first time volley from a corner flashed over the top following the failure of Juve to clear the lines.

On the other hand, Juve missed a chance to go two goals up after Daniele Rugani headed a floating ball just wide off the post.

Massimiliano made his first change at the midway stage with Khedira who had missed a fine chance of claiming his brace coming off for Rodrigo Bentancur.

After seeing an earlier strike saved, Ronaldo guided a header into the net following a corner from Miralem Pjanic. It was his 18th of the season, leading him to the top of the Serie A scoring charts.

Emre Can on replacing Blaise Matuidi latched onto a pass from Paulo Dybala to send a low shot past Sassuolo goalie only a minute after coming on for Matuidi.

Juventus next meeting comes against bottom relegation-threatened Frosionone. Despite the Italian Champions dropping points against Parma, they claim pole position ahead of Napoli with ten points.
