We Are Defeating Coronavirus And We Remain Resolute, Says Sanwo-Olu

Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed delight over the progress made in fighting the deadly coronavirus.

Lagos which is the epicenter of the virus in Nigeria has a total of 130 cases. Out of the 130, the state has recorded two deaths and 32 have been discharged after testing negative twice.

Express his delight over the progress via his Twitter page, the governor said he is looking forward to sharing the good news in the coming days.

“I announce with immense joy, the discharge of another patient (a female) who has fully recovered from our facility at Yaba. This brings to 32, the number of patients we have successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.

I look forward to sharing more great news in the coming days. This is indicative of the successes we are recording in our offensive against #COVID19 We are resolute in our resolve, we have the upper hand, we are winning and victory is surely ours,” he tweeted.

The governor had received the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha.  The delegation commended and appreciated Lagos State for our efforts in combating the virus.

While acknowledging the leadership qualities of President Muhammadu Buhari over what the Federal Government has provided during this emergency, Sanwo-Olu took the team round our the state’s isolation centres and assured them that Lagos will continue to be at the forefront of the national efforts to defeat COVID19 in the country.
