Yomi Fabiyi Accuses Movie Stars Of Neglecting Dying Baba Suwe

Veteran Nollywood Yoruba comedy actor, Babatunde Omidina also known as Baba Suwe is reportedly going through serious health complications and actor Yomi Fabiyi has called out for help from stakeholders in the Entertainment Industry.

Baba Suwe who had dealings with the NDLEA some years back is said to be down with an unknown ailment and Yomi Fabiyi accused actors and actresses of leaving the actor who has given so much to the movie industry to himself.

The actor who spoke to a radio broadcaster based in Lagos said no one in the movie industry had made any offer or move to help the ailing Baba Suwe known for his roles in comedy Yoruba movies.

He suggested that most silverscreen actors and actresses with no exception were pretenders and that they had rather praise a celebrity when he was dead than save him when they still can.

He added that these regular features in the movie industry were selfish and wouldn’t give in to helping one of them who has already been through a lot health-wise, moreso, a very good.

In his words:

“Baba Suwe is a good man. None of his people can say he is bad. And they are not helping him not because he behaved badly to them. They are not helping because they care only about their family.

That’s the nature of our actors, there is no exception. Imagine the caliber of people I told you I had spoken to about Baba Suwe’s case yet none look his way yet.

But if God forbid, he dies from the problem, they would be all over the place eulogizing his qualities which they helped kill by their lack of empathy.”

From his statement, it seems like Yomi Fabiyi had contacted a lot of movie stars for help without getting any. We hope that the sick Veteran actor comes out well soon enough.
