36-Yr-Old Yaya Toure Joins Chinese Side Qingdao
Yaya Toure, former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder has inked a deal with Chinese second division club Qingdao Huanghai.
Toure had been without a club since December when he left Olympiacos.
In May, Yaya Toure’s agent announced that the 36 year old was set to retire but the midfielder made a quick move to dispel the claims and has now moved to far Asia to continue his career where left off.
The Ivorian on his move to Qingdao Huanghai said:
“Since the start of my career I have always loved challenges and now I will make history once again with Qingdao Huanghai.”
He added: “I can’t wait to let my football do the magic once again.”
The Chinese outfit are Chinese League One table toppers but have never tasted top flight football ever.
The Ivorian has won five domestic titles across leagues in England and Spain as well as win Champions League.
